The beast zapped me
Clawing me open
Ripping me apart
Screaming no one comes to my rescue
I try to kill the monster
But it zaps me over and over
I kick out and connect with nothing
My body contorts
There’s no escape
Battling for release
My heart pounds
My breath quickens
I claw back
Teeth leave marks on flesh
Screams are blocked by my need to breathe
I flail about fighting
Alone victorious in a pool of my own essence
Ripped apart
Shallow breathing
I lay still now
