A fun read with a fun strong character. The writing was good with just a few things I didn’t like or want more of. Example, I don’t know why Jade hasn’t changed her appearance while on the run. She doesn’t change her hair color or do a drastic hair cut.

Put in different color contacts or even changes her name when she meets people.

Side characters are always a favorite of mine when reading or watching a movie. Uncle Jack and Patrice grabbed me by the heart strings.

I wish Jade used her “mutant” abilities more. I wanted more of the sci-fi elements. The plot was strong and main character Jade was well written giving the reader information about her past and present life without info dumping. We learned about Jade throughout the book giving us enough to care about her and not get bored with her. There was always fun info or her personality showing in good pace.

I loved the details about DC as I am a DC native. I love books that are set in the DMV.

Would also like for more technology to be used. Brian and the military don’t use much technology. Looking into security cameras or anything similar

Overall I really enjoyed this novel and felt satisfied with the ending. Things wrapped up with suspense, excitement, and satisfaction
